Roger
I have over 30 years farming experience, working with many different animals in many different locations around the world. I specialised in breeding pigs and pig production working to the highest level and standard. Following many years working for companies I now enjoy working on a smaller scale with Rare breed pigs. Being involved with the rare breed pigs has lead us to expand our farm to specialise in other rare breed farm animals.
I have become passionate about looking after and sharing with others the wonderful British Rare breed animals that are currently on the endangered list.
Gillian
I have been teaching in primary schools for over 20 years. With over 15 years of working as a Special Needs Coordinator, working with children of very different and individual needs.
I have always had my horses and enjoyed working with a variety of animals before I went into teaching.
It has been an aim of mine to bring animals and children together, where children can benefit from the opportunities that close contact with animals provides.
Lianne is the horse expert on the team. She especially enjoys working with native Irish horses.
After studying at Huddersfield in Equine Studies she worked for several years at a large livery yard in Cheshire. She gave this up to come and join us here to run the horses and liveries. Lianne is now enjoying being involved with the farm and all of the animals. Lianne will occasionally come out with the mobile farm.
